We desire for the men in our own congregation to thoughtfully and prayerfully consider a calling to pastoral ministry, striving to meet the biblical qualifications (1 Tim 3; Tit 1) and care for the flock. Whether you want to serve vocationally or as a layman, are certain in your desires or are still figuring it out, we invite you to our next Aspiring Pastors Retreat on August 21-22.

This weekend consists of reading discussion, testimonies and insight from our pastors, and extended time praying for our church. In preparation, we expect all participants to read The Path to Being a Pastor by Bobby Jamieson, chapters 8-14. We will meet on Friday, August 21, from 6 - 9:30 pm, and Saturday, August 22, from 8 am - 1 pm. Dinner, breakfast, and lunch will be included. We will be meeting at a church member's home and the address will be provided closer to that weekend.
Join us for our annual Bunco Night, Sunday, August 16, 5:00-7 pm at the church. We will listen to a testimony, serve appetizers and desserts, and compete to see who is the GOAT of Bunco!

Last names beginning A-N, please bring an appetizer to share. Last names beginning 0-P, please bring a dessert to share. We will provide the rest.

If there is anyone willing to bring a card table that seats 4, please contact Heather at heather@lwrbaptist.com.
