Ezra 7-8 | Finding God's Will Part 2
Does God have one super-specific plan for every decision we make—and are we responsible for discovering it? In Ezra 7–8, Ezra provides a different picture of discerning God’s will. Rather than passively waiting for God to reveal every detail, Ezra sees an opportunity, takes initiative, and moves forward. This sermon challenges the fear and indecision that can come from searching for a hidden plan about jobs, relationships, education, or where to live. Scripture’s emphasis on God’s will is primarily about obedience: following Jesus, pursuing holiness, doing good, and becoming spiritually mature. Instead of waiting for a special revelation, Christians can pray, use wisdom, take responsibility for their choices, and confidently pursue opportunities that allow them to please God.
